Over the past two weeks, we have talked about numerous aspects of the small business start-up process. You have developed your business idea, named your business, determined your target market and your basic business practices, and you have developed a solid marketing plan. To learn more about each of these topics, please take a look at our brand new Resource Guide for Start-Ups!
What’s next, you ask?
It’s time to make your dream a reality!
Secure you’re financing if you will be obtaining financial help!
If you are going to open a brick-and-mortar location, contact a realtor and start looking!
If you are doing virtual health coaching, determine which online platform you will use!
Start nailing down the details of what scheduling and billing system(s) you will use, start thinking about who you may need to hire, what you’re looking for in an employee, and where you will recruit potential employees.
Start setting up your social media presence. Use UpWork or a similar platform to find contractors to help with your marketing process if necessary.
Make sure you have a CPA and potentially a lawyer to help you with the Trademark process if that’s the direction you’re going in.
Join your local Chamber of Commerce and set up a ribbon cutting!
Cross your t’s and dot your i’s! Network, network, network! And stay motivated and excited! Don’t let the process overwhelm you! Make sure you have time for yourself and time to relax during this process. You can’t run a successful business if you’re completely exhausted before it even opens.
Good luck with your business! We can’t wait to hear your success stories!
